Memory and Invention (Online) October 2021: Reviewed
I shall certainly repeat this course as it was productive and enjoyable for all participants – including me! We all chose our own subjects and put together a ‘mood board’ of available images to work from, selecting the best full face and profile shots as the key sources. The process made for intense engagement with each individual project, calling for research, interpretation and preparatory scale drawings. Working together to make different portraits was stimulating and inspiring – making it a thoroughly enjoyable three days.
